Location

Gehenna is the second closest planet to Zeta1 Reticuli, which is more easily referenced in current star catalogues as HR 1006 or Gl 136. Located almost 40 light-years (ly) away in Constellation Reticulum, this star has distant stellar companion (Zeta2 Reticuli), currently separated by over 9,000 times the Earth-Sun distance ("astronomical unit" or AU). While Zeta1 Reticuli is a main-sequence, yellow-orange dwarf star (G2.5-5 V) like Sol, it may be older at as much as eight billion years or more and is only 60 percent as enriched in elements heavier than hydrogen.
