Summary from C.J. Cherryh's Fiction
Location
In CJC's 2009 novel, Regenesis, Eversnow is described as a Cyteen-class planet most easily reachable from Fargone. The planet is described as in a million-year deepfreeze that Union (Defense Bureau) has been warming in preparation for terraforming and colonization, a project covertly approved by the Union Council in 2424 CE. Reseune delivers Eversnow Station and the Bureau of Defense establishes a planetary base on Everson during the Company War, before the signing of the Treaty of Pell in 2354 CE. In a Cherryh short story, a colonist or resident of Eversnow is mentioned. If Evernow's yellow-orange host star is of spectral type G (like the Sun in Sol System), then the best candidate reachable down "a chain of stars" of economic and military interest to Union is Kappa Ceti -- which is almost 30 light-years from Sol, via K-type stars 107 Piscium and Gliese 105 ABC outwards from Fargone.
Chronology
2283 - Fargone station module delivered by FTL pusher ship from Cyteen. 2300s - Resune moves station module into Eversnow orbit and Defense Bureau establishes planetary base with CIT personnel. 2424 - Union Council officially approves Eversnow terraforming project with as a covert Reseune project.
