Location
Viking Starstation was occupied by Union near the end of the Company War in 2352 CE, after a deliberate retreat by the Earth Company Fleet. It is located at Epsilon Eridani, which was determined to have an extensive dusk disk and a possible planetary system by 2000 CE.
Chronology
2138 - ECS9 Beagle delivers Viking module to Epsilon Eridani from Pell
(Tau Ceti).
2266 - FTLECS12 Gemini sent on to Viking by Pell's officials to
"reassure it" of Pell's importance.
2298 - Life of Beyond gets better, the lifestyle more luxurious.
Merchanters are now armed, but shooting of developing Company
War takes place far from the stations. Black market trade thrives.
2352 - Earth Company (EC) Security Council delegation finds Viking under
Union occupation. Fleet attack from Omicron Point terminated by
Mazian after order by EC Security Council Secretary Ayres to
cease operations, as Ayres transferred unknown number of Fleet
codes to Union, but ECS32 Libya and two of ECS23 India's riders
are lost. Fleet retreats to Pell.
